avindy Cindy

avindyTo all of you complainers out there, step back.  To all of you “Debbie Downers,” walk the other way.  And, to all of you “my life sucks but I’m doing nothing about it” folks, we don’t want to hear it.  We’ve got a story that will inspire each and every one of you!

Cindy Joffe is a young mom who lives in Atlanta.  Years ago, she was a thriving trademark attorney and was living a great and normal life.  Then, out of the blue, she found herself seriously ill due to mold found in her house.  In desperation, Cindy moved in with her parents at their home in the Blue Ridge Mountains and hoped that the cleaner air would lead her to a full recovery.

Striving to find a way to channel Cindy’s emotions toward a positive mental place, Cindy’s mom, Avril, a then-executive in their local family car wash business, suggested that they make jewelry as a creative outlet. Soon they found themselves making all sorts of unique pieces inspired by their previous homes in Africa and other parts of the world.  They incorporated semi-precious stones, hammered gold, diamonds, and rare stones found in unique places throughout the globe.  Pretty soon, not only did this burst of creativity help Cindy get well, but the mom and daughter team had created a new line of jewelry that literally takes our breath away!  We love, love avindy! (Notice the beautiful merger of “Avril” and “Cindy” to make “avindy!”)

They both now make jewelry full time and are on their way to changing jewelry standards forever.  Great job, awesome ladies!  We applaud!
