The winner of TWO Gracie Awards for Outstanding Comedy, Ramona is no doubt the Queen of Comedy, but also shares a softer side every Sunday on her second show, the faith-based “The Satisfied Life,” along with Pam Stone and Sharon Decker.  She is a media guru, a comedy queen, a hot and sexy biatch and most of all, our on-air friend.  And, here’s here story in her own words…

MY CHARLOTTE FAVS? 1)  Artist? Love J.E. Davis, an abstract artist with a solo show at 1710 Camden Road from September 3-28.  He always donates pieces to charities. He is talented and his heart is in the right place. 2)  Bloody Mary bar at Andrew Blair’s is a sip of AWESOME! 3)  The best salad in the city is the Greek Salad at Open Kitchen. 4)  My favorite entree is the Ruby Dragon at Wan Fu in Pineville.  5)  For unbeweavable hair you’ll find a football field-sized selection of wigs, ponytails and weave hair at Tisun Beauty Supply on North Tryon Street.

1) What do you wear to bed? Depends on what’s happening in the morning. Sometimes a nightgown, sometimes a comfy tank dress I can wear to the curb without scaring my neighbors when I’m getting the paper.
2) Do you smoke when no one is watching? Nope, but I will bum one from a pal when hanging out. It kills the appetite so I won’t eat their meals AND mine.
3) Tell us about the last time you got arrested? It was Paris Hilton’s purse, not mine!
4) Do you throw trash out the window of your car? Heck no, but if the State Patrol gives me arrest powers, I’d like to bust people who do. Littering is for chumps!
5) What do you do when you’re all alone at home? Practice dance moves I see on America’s Best Dance Crew and fantasize about being in a fresh crew.
6) What is your biggest vice? Shopping! I live for the next bargain. When I vow to stop buying clothes, I move on to housewares.
7) Have you ever been in a physical fight? Yes, I was trying to evict a girl from my room in college. It didn’t go very well.
8. Have you ever flirted (or more!) with the opposite sex to get a job? No… and my bosses thank me for it.
9) If you had $1,000 that you had to spend today on someone else, what would you buy? I would buy clothes for a hard-to-fit school kid. I remember the agony of shopping in the pretty-plus girls department at Sears with my mom.
10) If you could have a magical power, what would it be? Mind reading! I’d make a mint!
11) What do you most like about your appearance? My button nose and two eyes the color of coal (makes me sound like Frosty the Snowman).
12) On what do you spend too much money? Clothes and shoes. Currently on a quest of find the perfect pair of silver platforms.
13) What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done for money? Have you heard the Matt and Ramona Show!?!?!   How about dressing up as Aretha Franklin for Taste of Charlotte and losing my fake cabbage boobs during the performance?
14) Where would we typically find you on a Saturday night? Hanging with friends, falling asleep during a pay-per-view movie, or at a charity event.
15) What do you eat more of than anything else? Crunchy, salty snacks. Must finish this survey quickly so I can go finish off my lime flavored tortilla chips!!!
16) Have you ever broken someone’s heart? Yes, but I trained him well for the next woman.
17) What is it that you most dislike? Tossup between aggressive squirrels and vampires.
18) What is the last thing you did that was truly awesome? Purchased an adorable house in Belmont.
19) What is your biggest regret? Not being the first to jump on the Charlotte blogging bandwagon and letting waxMAMA beat me to the punch!!!!

It’s the “put a smile on your face,” MUELLER’S NEIGHBORHOOD GRILL in Myers Park.  Love, love, LOVE.  Mueller’s is tiny little hidden gem on Huntley Place, right across the street from Providence Cafe, but is so tucked away that we never even knew it was there until a reader tipped us.  Opened in January 2007 and connected to an extremely antebellum-esque white columned office building/house (built in 1929), Mueller’s is the epitome of a neighborhood gathering place.

Owned and operated by former Olde Providence Racquet Club employee (who has strung tennis racquets for both John McEnroe and Monica Seles), Dave Mueller, Mueller’s is best known for its multi-award-winning hamburgers, its ruben and its cuban, yet everything on the menu is a winner.  During the summer, the tables are all situated outside, with some tables even on the porch of the white house next door.  (Love)  In the winter, however, they put twelve chairs inside, so you’ll feel good and intimate.  There is a waitress or you are free to go inside to order, whatever works best for you.  It is Mueller’s after all.
