Freakish Clown
Morning chickadees. Brooke (Cookie) here. I want to tell you a story about a freakish clown.
As many of you know, I play soccer once a week. Well, about four months ago, I went to the center of the field before the game to do the coin toss. Before we could even get to the toss, however, the ref took a quick look at me (without makeup of course), pointed to his own forehead and said, “Wow, did you get punched in the face?” Are you kidding me? Did he HONESTLY just allude to the fact that my skin is so terrible that it looks like I got socked? No ahole, that’s just my totally splotchy and sun-sucks skin. I hate you.
Regardless of the ref’s sheer rudeness, it was a huge wake up call for me. My skin had years of built up sun damage and melasma (brown splotches from birth control pills and other things) and it was getting ridiculously out of control.
