French Nups

ameliesEven Al Roker couldn’t help but tweet, “mmmmmm… Amelie’s Bakery Rocks!!!!”  Amélie’s French Bakery & Cafe in NoDa is swiftly becoming one of the great gems of Charlotte.  At this point, we bet that most of you have not only heard of Amélie’s, but have also been there at least 100 times to sample their delectable sticky buns.  Oui?  Open 24/7, this place is full of French pastries to die for and has a decor that would de-stress even our editor (no, that’s impossible)!

And, many of you have surely also heard of Café Monte, the French bakery and bistro in Southpark that is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and specializes in culinary wonders such as Crab & Lobster Crêpes and hot French waiters (yes, he’s good enough to eat!)?  Oui?  Holy cow…delish all over the place.

We love both of these French delights and are thus proud to announce the marriage of Amélie and Monte!  Café Monte has a bakery section in the front of the restaurant that provides their customers with amazing French sweets.  Until now, CM had taken on the responsibility of not only running the restaurant, but also running the bakery.  However, after many discussions with the owners of Amélie’s, the two agreed to let Amélie’s take over the bakery section, and thus was created an Amélie’s satellite location called A Slice of Amélie’s! Yum! (And, we just said Amélie’s four times… five.) With at least two deliveries a day straight from their kitchen in NoDa, the pastries are guaranteed fresh.  Not only that, Café Monte will now be open a little earlier…7:00 am on weekdays at 8:00 am on weekends.  So, bring your Skirt! Magazine and plop yourself down for a breakfast full of French heaven.
