If only he had a tool to sharpen Delhomme’s passing, we’d really be in business…

Unfortunately, Gary Gordon doesn’t have the key to the Panther’s passing game, but what he does have is the expertise to sharpen all the tools in your shed (husband’s brain excluded).  A FINER EDGE was started by Gary this past August and brings to Charlotte the first EVER mobile sharpening business!

After being laid off for the third time in his life (all economy related) from jobs working with CAD in architectural offices, Gary , 54, decided that it was time for him to give entrepreneurship a try.  Even though mobile sharpening is a big business in those there northern parts, the South has somehow never adopted it.  Until now.

Generally sticking to within a seven mile radius of his home (see Web site for map), Gary will come to your home or place of business and will sharpen anything you throw at him:  knives, lawn mower blades, hedge trimmers, scissors, and hatchets (umm, Freddie Krueger what?), to name a few.  With a trip fee of just $5 (with $35 minimum in sharpening), we’re really liking the sound of this.  In just three months, he’s already grown his business from one call a day, to three.  As his goal is ten, what do you say we help him get there?  Seriously ladies, when is the last time a man “sharpened” your tools?  Think about it…
